Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor opened a new, modern Bambi shoe factory in the Varaždin entrepreneurial zone. Half of the investment, worth over 26 million kuna, was financed by a loan from HBOR at an interest rate of two percent, and the Varaždin County participated with 200,000 kuna in subsidized loans, reports hrt.hr.
In the factory, which spans a total of 3,600 square meters, 220 employees work, mostly women, including 40 newly hired. The Prime Minister described the opening of the new factory as an event that gives hope for a better 2010 and shows that it is possible to create new jobs even in difficult times. (HRT)
