Health professionals from Osijek pediatrics can measure themselves against colleagues from around the world, but they need more modern equipment and better facilities, it was announced at today’s presentation of the large humanitarian campaign “Give 5” for the Intensive Care Unit of Osijek pediatrics.
The humanitarian campaign Give Five! is aimed at renovating and expanding the Intensive Care Unit for pediatrics in Osijek, where children from Slavonia and Baranja are treated in modest conditions. In the first month of this campaign, more than 112,000 calls were received on the humanitarian phone 060 9006. The ultimate goal is to raise five million kuna. At today’s press conference, the continuation and peak of the campaign was announced for December 10, when two major humanitarian concerts will be held in the main squares of Osijek and Zagreb, led by Miroslav Škoro, one of the initiators of this campaign. Large Croatian companies have joined the humanitarian campaign. The patron is Pliva, and the sponsors are Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank and T-HT, while the partners of the campaign are Europlakat, PSC Zagreb, Novelti Millenium, and Millenium Promotion.
-“This is not the first time that Pliva has helped the youngest by creating conditions for their more comfortable stay in the hospital, better treatment, and faster recovery. Pliva’s involvement in the Give Five! campaign is a continuation of our investment in the community. We also want to convey that we support the area of Slovenia and Baranja,” said Matko Bolanča, CEO of Pliva.
