The dividend payment from the Fund for Croatian Veterans from the Homeland War and their family members (Fund HB) will be carried out by the end of the year, it was announced today by Erste-invest, which manages the Fund.
The dividend payment was announced to be completed by the end of November, but a slight postponement of the payment deadline occurred due to legal and technical changes. The announcement states that on November 20, amendments to the Law on the Rights of Veterans came into effect, according to which after that date, changes to the list of veterans in the Register of Veterans at the Ministry of Family, Veterans and Intergenerational Solidarity (MOBMS) are no longer possible, except for the records of legal heirs.
The aim of this legal decision is to ensure that all changes to the register received by the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense by that date are properly implemented in the Register, based on which Erste-invest will pay dividends to the shareholders of Fund HB. By properly and finally updating the register, the possibility of errors will be avoided, as well as the possibility that someone entitled to it will be deprived of the dividend payment, they say in the Fund.
They remind that the Management Board of Fund HB recently adopted a decision on the payment of dividends for 2008, amounting to 66.9 million kuna. The dividend per share will be between 18 and 21 kuna. Only those who will hold shares in the Fund on that day will have the right to receive dividends, i.e., those members of the Fund who have not been paid according to their requests for sale on the day of the dividend payment. Considering that veterans average about 10 shares in the fund, the expected average dividend amount per member of the Fund will range from 180 to 210 kuna, it is stated in the announcement.
