In coordination with the Faculty of Textile Technology (TTF) of the University of Zagreb, work on the T-Pot project began yesterday, for which the European Union has allocated nearly one million euros based on its REGPOT competition to enhance the quality of scientific research at the faculty.
The University of Zagreb announced today that, alongside the coordinator, five partner institutions from Europe are participating in the project – Sächsischen Textilforschungsinstitut (STFI) from Germany, Institute of Natural Fibers and Medicinal Plants (INFMP) from Poland, Technological Centre Leitat from Spain, Grado Zero Espace (GZE) from Italy, and representatives of the European Commission (EC) from Belgium. Each of the project collaborators from European institutions has significant experience in the fields of nanotechnology, new materials, and manufacturing technologies.
The funds allocated to the project “Unlocking the Croatian Textile” (T-Pot) amounting to 959,300 euros are primarily intended (40%) for the procurement of high-value equipment that will significantly improve the quality of scientific research at the Faculty of Textile Technology. A significant activity within the project is the strengthening of the recently established Textile Science Research Centre (TSRC). The project will contribute to enhancing national innovation through the TSRC, and its primary purpose is the organization and coordination of scientific research and artistic research work in the field of textiles and related technologies.
