Special Action Conditions for One Thousand Apartments in Croatia

Raiffeisenbank Austria d.d. (RBA) has, in collaboration with a dozen construction companies, its corporate clients, decided to launch the currently largest initiative to stimulate the Croatian real estate market.

The statement notes that within this initiative, more than 1000 apartments will be offered to Croatian citizens at various locations in Croatia under special action conditions. It is explained that the initiative was created in response to numerous requests from citizens – apartment buyers, professional associations of the construction industry, and initiatives from the Government of the Republic of Croatia, in the spirit of the bank’s business policy of social responsibility in the market in which it operates.

As part of the initiative, RBA has waived a significant portion of its income by providing special incentives on both the supply and demand sides for apartments. Apartment buyers from construction companies that are RBA clients and will be included in the initiative will be offered special conditions for financing the purchase of apartments, which includes new interest rates up to 25 percent lower, the possibility of financing 100 percent of the apartment’s value, and more favorable criteria for loan approval. The new, reduced interest rates will range from 5.50 to 6.25 percent. A special benefit is highlighted with fixed interest rates for a period of up to 2 years, after which an improvement in the surrounding conditions and a trend of decreasing market interest rates is expected.

The offer of housing loans with interest rates reduced by 15 to 25 percent will be valid exclusively for apartments included in the initiative. Depending on the case, the offered apartments within the initiative may also be purchased at a discounted price with loans from other banks and/or from personal funds. The initiative starts on March 10 and lasts until June 10, 2009, or until the quota is exhausted, and it is also open for the inclusion of Croatian furniture and housing equipment manufacturers. All other details related to the initiative will be announced the day before its official start, on March 9, in a joint public address by the partners involved in its implementation.
