J. Gregurić: HT’s Results Expected, Dividend a Pleasant Surprise

After an hour of trading, HT shares, the only liquid stock, recorded a price increase due to the announcement of a dividend payout and expected business results. However, the government’s anti-recession package announced yesterday did not bring the expected activity to the stock market.

Jurica Gregurić, a member of the Management Board of Fima FAS, believes that HT’s business results are within expectations, and he considers the announcement of the dividend payout a pleasant surprise, although there had already been some speculation regarding it. – The results of INA, specifically the reported loss, are greater than expected – says Gregurić, commenting on another domestic blue-chip. Perhaps this is also the reason why INA is currently trading at a price of 1,050 kuna, which is a historical minimum. On the other hand, HT is the most liquid and currently the only stock with a turnover exceeding one million kuna.

The largest Croatian telecom is currently trading at a price of 224 kuna with a total turnover of as much as 12 million kuna.
Other securities mostly record losses, which leads to the conclusion that investors are not thrilled with the government’s anti-recession package. – The adoption of anti-recession measures is a positive step, although we believe that we are late in this regard. It is necessary to urgently proceed with the budget rebalancing – says Gregurić about the adoption of the mentioned measures, confirming the current mood of investors on the stock market.  (Amir Kulenović)
