If “Dukat” does not withdraw from the announced reduction of milk purchase prices, dairy farmers from Virovitica-Podravina County will protest in front of that Zagreb company, it was stated at today’s electoral assembly of the Livestock and Agricultural Association of Virovitica-Podravina County.
– Only in the area of Virovitica-Podravina County, twenty dairy farms have been established in recent years, and by lowering the purchase prices of milk, their owners may close them as they will not be able to repay loans – said the newly elected president of the association, Željko Maletić.
Due to the unilateral cancellation of the milk purchase contract, the possibility of reporting "Dukat" to the State Attorney’s Office was also announced at the assembly. (Hina)
