The support and defense line of the stock index was established today at the level of 1,400 points, although during the morning, Crobex was well below that level. The total turnover amounted to a solid 23.7 million kuna, and the only stock that managed to resist the decline among the more liquid issues today was Ingra.
The troubles for Crobex continue. After yesterday's sharp decline in the U.S., a wave of pessimism has spread to the remaining parts of the global financial market, including Croatia. Crobex slid by another 3.77 percent today, closing at 1,402 points. The most traded was the preferred stock of the Adris Group, which, with a turnover of 8.5 million kuna, fell by 4.6 percent. With a turnover of 6.4 million kuna, the second most liquid stock was HT, whose loss was the smallest at 0.37 percent compared to yesterday's price. The closing price of our largest telecom's stock was 218.61 kuna.
The stock of Atlantska plovidba was traded for a total of three million kuna with a price drop of 3.26 percent.
The last millionaire of the day was IGH, which, with a turnover of 1.4 million kuna, weakened by as much as 7.27 percent. The entire construction sector today recorded a sharp price drop that can be linked to yesterday's data on significant problems in this branch of the economy. The only stock that recorded an increase today was Ingra, which rose by 4.24 percent. However, since this stock also recorded losses for almost the entire day, it can be concluded that the positive sign next to Ingra's ticker was brought about by increased trading in the last hour or two, likely due to the positive performance of some investment funds that have Ingra in their portfolio.
