Polyclinic Svjetlost Officially Opened in Zagreb

-For ten years I have dreamed of this moment and I can tell everyone that the American dream is possible in Croatia as well. I am extremely proud because what is happening today I have achieved with my own two hands, knowledge, and dedication, said Prof. Dr. Sc. Nikica Gabrić, one of our most esteemed ophthalmologists, during the opening.

In the new clinic, 41 employees have found jobs, 7 million euros have been invested in the project, and for the specialization of seven young professionals, 200,000 euros will be allocated annually. Gabrić emphasized that he and his employees can say after seven days of work that they do not feel the recession. In addition to numerous dignitaries from the entertainment, business, and public life, the opening ceremony was attended by President Stjepan Mesić, Minister Dragan Primorac, and Mayor Milan Bandić. The clinic, located in the center of Zagreb, was opened by President Mesić after touring the 9 floors of the new building with a total area of 2,000 square meters. The clinic has four top-equipped operating rooms, the most modern diagnostic offices, outpatient clinics, and apartments for post-operative patient stays. The most modern polyclinic in this part of Europe is organized into three departments: for refractive surgery and corneal diseases, for cataracts and glaucoma, and for diseases of the posterior part of the eye.
