In the trend of rising interest rates on savings, which is the most important source of money for lending in this crisis year, Podravska banka has joined. Interest rates on kuna savings, depending on the choice of fixed or variable interest, now reach up to 7 percent per year.
The special interest rate offer is valid for both individuals and businesses for deposits contracted until March 31 of this year.
In addition to the increased interest rates on kuna deposits, interest rates on savings in euros have also risen – by 25 percent, they have reached 6 percent. The bank states that there is no minimum amount for deposits, but the interest rates for kuna savings deposited for up to 6 months are fixed and range up to 6.6 percent, while savings deposited for a period longer than six months are more profitable, as variable interest rates amount to 7 percent. For those who still prefer savings in foreign currencies, interest rates, depending on the amount and term of the deposit, range from 3 to 6 percent per year, reports Podravska banka. Almost all banks have raised interest rates on savings, and analysts predict that the trend of maintaining, if not further increasing such high interest rates, due to a lack of capital, will continue at least for this year.
