The prices of most stocks on Friday followed a positive trend that has been present for almost the entire week. With an increase of 1.62 percent, Crobex approached the 1,700-point mark. What remains concerning is the weak liquidity and only five stocks with million kuna turnover.
The total turnover on the Zagreb Stock Exchange amounted to a meager 30 million kuna, of which 4.5 million relates to bond trading. Crobex ended the day at a closing of 1,691 points, continuing an upward trend that has lasted for a full four days.
The most traded was the HT stock with a turnover of 5.8 million kuna and a price increase of 0.05 percent, closing at 221.5 kuna. Following with a turnover of five million kuna is the stock of Slatinska banka, which has literally exploded in liquidity over the past few days. On Friday, the price of Slatinska banka rose by an additional 5.02 percent. This week, nearly 20 percent of the shares of this bank changed hands, but as the largest shareholders mostly hide behind custodial accounts, it is difficult to say whether a takeover battle is underway or if large shareholders simply want to rid themselves of this bank from their portfolios.
