On his 16th day in office, U.S. President Barack Obama used the “flying presidential toys” for the first time. On Thursday evening, Obama flew from the White House to Andrews Air Force Base aboard the presidential helicopter Marine One and then from there on Air Force One to a gathering of Democratic congressmen in Williamsburg, Virginia.
"Thank you for giving me a reason to fly on Air Force One", Obama told them. He added that both flights were "spectacular and very impressive". (H)
