Five million kuna for entrepreneurial loans

Zagreb County continues to subsidize interest rates on entrepreneurial loans in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Labor and Entrepreneurship through the project “Local Development Project – Micro Lending,” which has a credit potential of five million kuna, it was announced today from Zagreb County.

This is the 11th credit line being implemented within Zagreb County. So far, over 500 million kuna has been disbursed through the “Local Development Project – Micro Lending,” and more than 300 entrepreneurs have utilized the secured funds. The goal of the project is to improve the forms of financing for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises through entrepreneurial micro loans, whereby the County and the Ministry subsidize the interest rate of seven percent by a total of two percentage points, so the interest for the loan user will amount to five percent. Small and medium-sized enterprises, crafts, cooperatives, and institutions fully owned by Croatian citizens are eligible to use the subsidies.

Entrepreneurs must be registered in the area of Zagreb County, and those investing in production will be given priority. Loans are approved for the purchase, construction, renovation, or expansion of economic facilities, and for the procurement of equipment for business assets valued up to 100,000 kuna. The call for collecting entrepreneurial applications is open until the funds are exhausted. The minimum loan amount is 35,000 kuna, and the maximum is 200,000 kuna, with a repayment period of up to five years and a possible grace period of one year, the announcement states. Information and the loan application form can be obtained from the Department of Economy of Zagreb County, at the phone numbers 01/60 09 457, 01/60 09 476, at the email address [email protected], and on the county’s website www.zagrebacka-zupanija.hr.
