Frano Matušić Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe

Member of the Croatian Parliament Frano Matušić was re-elected as Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on Monday in Strasbourg at the beginning of the session.

Matušić stated in a phone conversation that it is a special honor for him personally and for Croatia, as well as for the entire delegation, that in the year when the Council of Europe celebrates its 60th anniversary, one of our parliamentarians has been elected as Vice President. The Council of Europe has 47 member countries whose representatives discuss all major European issues, and today’s agenda includes topics such as gas supply issues and the conflict in Gaza. The Council of Europe will appropriately celebrate sixty years of operation at the April session.(H)
