Zagrebparking Will Not Charge for Parking on Snow

The subsidiary of Zagreb Holding “Zagrebparking” will not charge for parking until the parking spaces are cleared of snow and ice, reported today the assistant director for operational affairs of “Zagrebparking” Zoran Ježić.

"Today we are not conducting payment control, and this will be the case for the next two to three days, or until we clear the parking spaces," emphasized Ježić, noting that their cleaning teams are in the field, and starting tomorrow, they will be assisted by contractors with trucks. Due to the large amount of snow, it needs to be loaded onto trucks and removed from the streets. In addition to the difficult conditions due to snow and ice, "Zagrebparking" faces challenges in cleaning due to snowplows in some areas, as well as citizens who, while clearing the street or in front of their homes, push snow onto parking spaces, Ježić states. He notes that snow from parking spaces is cleared according to priorities, with the red zone being first, followed by the yellow zone, and finally the green zone.  (H)
