The Beekeeping Association of Vukovar-Srijem County, as the main organizer, announces the beekeeping equipment and products fair and the scientific expert gathering, the Sixth Beekeeping Days in Vinkovci, which will take place on March 13 and 14, 2009.
In the exhibition part of the event, all exhibitors will participate free of charge, and more than a hundred are expected, who will be visited by over 10,000 visitors from Croatia and the region over two days. As Drago Josipović, president of the Beekeeping Association of VSŽ, told Lider, this is an opportunity to procure equipment at prices that will be the most favorable in Croatia during the fair.- Honey and other bee products will be available for tasting, and the uniqueness of this event is that, in addition to Croatia, beekeepers and manufacturers of beekeeping equipment from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia regularly gather there – said Josipović.
The theme of this year’s gathering is ‘Croatian Beekeeping in Europe and Forms of Interest Association’. The highest quality Croatian experts and guests from neighboring countries will speak about new findings on bee diseases and their protection, innovations in beekeeping technology, lesser-known honey varieties, honey plants and the effects of pollination, economics in beekeeping, the health value of bee products, and legal regulations in beekeeping.
