The Flemish Government Provides Croatia with 700 Thousand Euros in Financial Support

The Flemish government continues its financial support program for cooperation projects with Central and Eastern European countries, with an amount of 700,000 euros allocated for Croatia, covering up to 85 percent of the costs on the Flemish side, it was announced today by the Belgian embassy.

Project proposals to be financed with these funds are accepted from January 1 to March 31 of this year. This is a continuation of the program through which the Flemish government has been financing cooperation projects between Flemish companies and partners in Central and Eastern Europe since 1992, and in 2009, special attention will be given, as stated, to cooperation with Croatia, Macedonia, and the countries of the Western Balkans – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, and Kosovo, as noted on the website of the Flemish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The amount of financial support allocated for this year is the largest for Croatia, totaling 700,000 euros. For Macedonia, an amount of 250,000 euros is allocated, and for other countries, a total of 750,000 euros.
