Mesić: Ljubljana is no longer a problem for Zagreb but for Brussels

The President of the Republic of Croatia, Stjepan Mesić, stated today that the relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Slovenia are no longer a problem for Croatia, but for the European Union (EU), or Brussels.

"Ljubljana is no longer a problem for Zagreb, but for Brussels," said President Mesić, who believes that this blockade will have consequences for the economic and other relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Slovenia. However, he reiterated that this is no longer a problem for Zagreb but for Brussels. President Mesić made this statement at the request of journalists to comment on the announced Slovenian blockade of the continuation of Croatia’s accession negotiations with the European Union ahead of his participation in the round table "Anti-Fascist Croatia (1941-1945) in elementary and secondary school history textbooks."
