As it becomes increasingly difficult to obtain funds from a single source, the Croatian electricity company has requested a syndicated loan, with the syndicate of banks approving it including Banca Infrastrutture Innovazione e Sviluppo S.p.A., Erste Group Bank AG, Privredna banka Zagreb, and Societe Generale, which are also the leading mandated arrangers and lenders, while our PBZ is the loan agent.
The loan will primarily be used to finance HEP’s investment projects, including the construction of the new Block C at the Sisak Thermal Power Plant, thereby ensuring the continuity of planned investments. The syndicated loan agreement is also proof that domestic and foreign banks, which have successfully collaborated with HEP so far, are ready to continue financially supporting the company, its business policy, and in the current conditions of difficult financing caused by the global financial crisis, as stated in PBZ’s announcement.
