Crobex defended at the level of 1,500 points

After two days of stagnation, the Zagreb Stock Exchange today saw a somewhat stronger rise in stock prices, suggesting that the Crobex level of 1,500 points has been defended for now. Currently, Crobex stands at 1,565 points, which is 3.07 percent higher than yesterday’s closing.

A significant rise in prices of most liquid stocks today was accompanied by a somewhat higher turnover. By 1 PM, the regular turnover reached 22.6 million kuna. For comparison, during the entire previous day, just over 14 million kuna of regular turnover was achieved."After two days of slight price increases, today saw a significant rise, and liquidity has also increased. It seems that the Crobex level of 1,500 points has been defended for now, which are all encouraging signals. It remains to be seen whether we have finally reached the bottom", says Mirjana Lovrenčić, a broker at Ilirika Securities.

On European exchanges, the main indices are up by 1 to 2 percent, primarily due to expectations that the European Central Bank and the Bank of England will significantly lower interest rates later in the day, possibly by a full percentage point, after the Swedish central bank made a record cut this morning – by as much as 1.75 percentage points. The highest turnover so far has been achieved by T-HT shares, amounting to 4.32 million kuna. Its price rose by 0.8 percent to 192.3 kuna.

Following in turnover is the Dalekovod share, with a turnover of three million kuna, and a price increase of nearly 6 percent to 269.5 kuna. Shares of other construction companies are also recording gains, with Ingra shares rising by 6.24 percent, IGH by 5.9 percent, while Đuro Đaković Holding is currently in a blockade due to a price increase of more than 10 percent. The shipping sector is also recording larger gains today. The Atlantska plovidba share rose by 2.77 percent to 525 kuna, Tankerska plovidba by 6.37 percent, Uljanik Plovidba by 5.98 percent, and Jadroplov by 0.79 percent. Today, the Kraša share is also in greater focus for investors, with a turnover of 1.56 million kuna and a price increase of 5.35 percent to 280 kuna. Currently, shares of Luka Ploče and Dom Holding are also in blockade due to a price increase of more than 10 percent, but recorded at low turnovers. (H)
