Crobex fell by 5.28 percent

The domestic stock index fell today by a significant 5.28 percent, marking the lowest value this year. Investors did not blindly follow global trends but were guided by their own pessimism and the expectation of a crisis arriving in Croatia as well.

The total turnover on the regular market amounted to 40.9 million kuna, and the closing value of the index was 1,642 points. The most liquid was HT with a turnover of 9.3 million kuna and a price drop of 1.48 percent. The construction sector suffered the most today – leading the decline was Dalekovod with a price drop of 16.03 percent (2.3 million kuna turnover), Ingra was down by 15.33 percent (1.7 million kuna turnover), IGH by 13.77 percent (7.2 million kuna turnover), while Viadukt fell by “only” 9.2 percent (855 thousand kuna turnover). The stock of Atlantska plovidba was traded for a total of 1.9 million kuna with a price drop of 10.59 percent. Ina achieved a turnover of just twenty thousand kuna less with a relatively mild price drop of 0.23 percent, closing at 1,180 kuna.

Today’s millionaires also include the privileged shares of Adrisa, Ledo, Končar, and Centar banka. The latter is also one of the biggest losers – with a turnover of 1.1 million kuna, this bank experienced a drop in its share price of 21.57 percent.
The only stock that was traded a bit more and behaved “against” the market was Industrogradnja, which is in the focus of investors due to the upcoming public offer from Negotiator and the Dutch company Aglaia. With a turnover of 495 thousand kuna, Industrogradnja rose by 8.65 percent today. The American central bank announced a new $800 billion economic rescue plan today. This announcement could please the market, although the data on personal consumption, which is the lowest in the last seven years, does not support them at all.  (Amir Kulenović)
