Robert Gibbs new White House spokesman

Robert Gibbs will be the spokesman for the White House in the administration of newly elected American President Barack Obama, announced Obama’s transition team on Saturday.

Gibbs was the spokesman for Obama’s campaign and is currently the spokesman for the transition team. In the role of White House spokesman, he will have one of the most visible roles in the new administration. Gibbs (37), originally from Auburn, Alabama, previously worked for Senator Fritz Hollings, the Democratic Senate Committee, and Senator John Kerry’s presidential campaign in 2004.

Ellen Moran, executive director of the Washington-based organization supporting women Democratic candidates ‘EMILY’s List’, which assisted Hillary Clinton’s presidential candidacy, will be the communications director in Obama’s administration. Moran previously worked for the AFL-CIO labor federation, coordinating activities against Wal-Mart, the giant retail chain that prevents its workers from unionizing. Her deputy will be Dan Pfeiffer, currently the communications director of Obama’s transition team."These individuals will fill key roles, bringing a breadth and experience that can help our administration promote prosperity and security for Americans," Obama said in a written statement.
