The Competition Protection Council has rejected the notification of intent to concentrate between MOL and INA. The notification was dismissed at the request of MOL, which, based on the public offer for the acquisition of shares, failed to gain control or a dominant influence in INA.
As a result, no concentration has occurred in the sense of the provisions of the Competition Protection Act.
The public offer of Hungarian MOL for the acquisition of INA ended in mid-October, and Hungarian MOL, which previously held 25 percent plus one share of INA, acquired an additional 22.15537 percent of INA shares in the public offer, bringing its total to 47.15538 percent of INA shares.
The obligation to reapply for the concentration intent to the Agency will come into effect eight days after the acquisition of control or dominant influence of the entrepreneur MOL in the entrepreneur INA d.d., as stated in the AZTN announcement.
