Atlantska plovidba increased by 20.2 percent

Whether due to the elections in the USA or because leading global indices recorded a slight increase, today’s trading on the domestic capital market was more than euphoric. With a relatively solid turnover of 81 million kuna, Crobex experienced an explosion today, rising by a high 7.46 percent.

The stock index closed the day at 2,399 points, slowly moving away from the psychological barrier of 2,000 points. The main contributor to its rise was Atlantska plovidba, which increased by a high 20.2 percent with a turnover of 12.5 million kuna, thus becoming the most liquid stock of the day. Since the company has not yet published its quarterly report, the reason for such an increase, especially considering the poor state of the sector, is truly inexplicable. However, it is interesting to note that this is already the second time this year that Atlantska has recorded an increase a few days before the announcement of results, leading to suspicion (which Hanfa should investigate) that some market players may have obtained this information before other investors.

HT shares were traded for a total of 11 million kuna with a price increase of 6.07 percent, closing at 243.02 kuna. The construction sector also recorded good results today. IGH is up by 9.95 percent (7.3 million kuna turnover), Dalekovod by 9.52 percent (6.5 million kuna turnover), and Ingra by 10.21 percent (5.7 million kuna turnover). Shares of Ericsson Nikola Tesla were traded for a total of 4.5 million kuna with a price increase of 5.73 percent. The preferred shares of Adrisa collected 4.2 million kuna in turnover with a price increase of 6.9 percent.

The Viro sugar factory announced today that it has purchased an additional 6.8 percent of shares in the Županjska Sladorana from Agroholding, thus increasing its stake in that company to over 44 percent. This was also reflected in the price of their shares, which rose by 7.59 percent with a turnover of 1.9 million kuna.

The other shipping stock among the “millionaires” today was Tankerska plovidba, which also followed the trend of its larger brother. With a turnover of 1.8 million kuna, Tankerska rose by 18.92 percent. Today’s trading once again showed that investors are not at all concerned about the business results of companies. Namely, relatively good results from some companies have not affected their stock prices in recent days, and today’s increase can be characterized as being driven by the calming of the global crisis and the elections in the USA, rather than by any events on the domestic business scene.
