Nikola Franjić Buried in Bošnjaci

At the St. Cross cemetery in Bošnjaci near Županja, today, with military and civil honors, the marketing director of Nacional, Nikola Franjić, was buried. He was killed on October 23rd in front of the Nacional headquarters along with Nacional journalist and NCL Group CEO Ivo Pukanić.

In the presence of around 1000 local residents of Bošnjaci, family members, including the wife of the deceased Nikola Franjić, Cecilija, their 12-year-old son Niko, as well as Franjić’s brothers, sisters, and mother, Ljubica Šojat Kapusta, an employee of the NCL Group and a friend of Franjić, bid farewell to him on behalf of Nacional.

In an emotional speech, she recalled Nikola Franjić’s life journey, particularly highlighting his participation in the Homeland War, where, as she stated, he passed through numerous Croatian battlefields, and his stay in Chile, where he worked as a marketing expert. "Is God powerless against crimes?" Ljubica Šojat Kapusta asked, asserting that the perpetrators of the murders of Nikola Franjić and Ivo Pukanić will be discovered, brought to justice, and punished.

On behalf of friends from Zagreb and Chile, Radojka Vetnić spoke, stating that Nikola Franjić’s life "was a life for others." The burial was led by the parish priest of St. Martin from Bošnjaci, Vlado Mikrut, who, in his farewell speech, said that Franjić promoted care for the youth and positive life values through his life.
