The average net salary paid in Zagreb for August this year amounted to 6,090 kuna, which is nominally 2.2 percent lower compared to the average from the previous month and 5 percent higher compared to the average salary from the same month in 2007.
In relation to the Croatian average for August, which, according to preliminary data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, amounted to 5,184 kuna, the average net salary in Zagreb for August was higher by 906 kuna, or 17.5 percent. Among individual sectors, the highest average net salary for August in Zagreb was paid to employees in computer and related activities, amounting to 9,523 kuna, while the lowest, at 3,007 kuna, was paid to employees in the clothing manufacturing and fur processing sectors.(H)
