Bandić to Karamarko: How much time is needed for Zagreb to be safe again?

Zagreb’s mayor Milan Bandić sent a letter to the public this evening, in which, on behalf of all Zagreb residents, he invites the Minister of Internal Affairs Tomislav Karamarko to an urgent meeting to discuss what needs to be done to restore the safety that Zagreb once had and deserves, as stated by the Mayor’s Office.

Zagreb’s mayor Milan Bandić sent the letter in light of the latest brutal murders in the center of Zagreb, which, as he states, continue the series of violence in our city. Violence and mafia-style murders are unacceptable, writes Bandić, adding that he has requested an urgent meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Croatia, Tomislav Karamarko, on behalf of all citizens. “We want to know what is happening, know what they are doing, and find out how much time they need to resolve this situation permanently,” emphasizes the Zagreb mayor, stating that safety is the most important thing and that there is no more patience.” He also offered any assistance, as he noted that Zagreb must be, as it always has been – a safe city.
