The deadline for the payment of funds to INA’s shareholders who have deposited their shares in the Central Depository Agency in the public offering by Hungary’s MOL for the acquisition of INA expires today.
In this offering, 2,215,537 INA shares were deposited for which MOL offered a price of 2,800 kuna, šmeaning that the Hungarian oil company will pay 6.2 billion kuna for them. According to SDA data, of nearly 60,000 INA shareholders, about 26,000 responded to the public offering. The takeover bid for INA related to nešto više than 30.16 percent of the shares, or all INA shares not owned by MOL and the Croatian Government, of which 73.45 percent was subscribed, šrepresenting 22.15 percent of the total number of INA shares. After šthey are recorded to MOL, the Hungarian oil company, which already owns 25 percent plus one share, will thus have a total of 47.15 percent of the shares of the Croatian oil company. This will make it the largest individual shareholder of INA, considering that the Government owns about 44.84 percent of INA shares. (H)
