Mandalina Marina is the Largest American Investment in Croatia

The owner of NCP (Nautical Center Prgin), Goran Prgin, presented a new partnership with the American company Island Global Yachting at the Adriatic Boat Show in Šibenik for the realization of the Mandalina Marina & Yacht Club project in Šibenik, valued at approximately 100 million euros.

Mandalina will be the first Croatian marina for megayachts, encompassing a five-star hotel, exclusive villas, and recreational facilities. As stated during the presentation, Mandalina is the largest American investment in Croatia to date. Island Global Yachting specializes in the design, development, management, and maintenance of marinas for luxury boats and megayachts, as well as related facilities and real estate, and their team of experts is currently involved in the construction of 22,000 berths in the Middle East, of which 10,000 berths are in Dubai alone. With the Mandalina Marina project, IGY is entering the European market, and Šibenik is becoming a nautical destination capable of accommodating vessels up to 100 meters in length.

The proximity of Prgin’s repair shipyard, which can provide all technical services to sailors, is also an advantage in the project. ‘The goal is to adapt the project to the environment and tradition of this area so as not to overwhelm the peninsula. After the project is developed, which a team of architects will work on intensively in the coming period while strictly adhering to the established urban plan, I hope that we will submit a request for the development of a detailed urban plan by next season, and start construction by the end of next year.’ – emphasized Goran Prgin. Negotiations are underway with renowned hotel chains for the management of the hotel complex, and a significant portion of the berths could be ready for the next season, while the complete marina with 65 berths for megayachts and accompanying infrastructure is expected to be completed by the end of next year.  (Željka Laslavić)
