Public Offer Concluded, MOL Currently Holds 44.3 Percent of INA Shares

Last night at midnight, the deadline for the Hungarian MOL’s public offer to purchase INA shares expired. According to the latest data from the Central Depository Agency (SDA), 1,935,789 INA shares have been deposited for acceptance of MOL’s offer.

This represents 64.2 percent of the shares to which the public offer pertains and 19.3 percent of the total number of shares. Together with MOL’s existing stake in INA, which amounts to 25 percent plus one share, MOL can already count on a ownership stake in the Croatian oil company of 44.3 percent.

However, this is not the final number of INA shares deposited in the Central Depository Agency for acceptance of MOL’s offer, as the SDA is still processing shareholder applications for acceptance of MOL’s offer, and more offers may still arrive by mail. The deadline for sending applications by mail also expired last night at midnight.

The total value of the shares deposited so far for MOL’s public offer is 5.4 billion kuna, as MOL offered 2,800 kuna per INA share in its public offer.

The final data on the number of shares deposited for MOL’s offer at the SDA is expected on Thursday, October 9, and payment on Friday, October 17. MOL’s voluntary takeover offer related to slightly more than 30.16 percent of shares, or all INA shares not owned by MOL and the Croatian Government. (Hina)
