The new owner of Nova Sloga from Trstenik, the company Frikom, which is owned by Croatian Agrokor, will invest 10 million euros in the company’s operations over the next two years, reports Beta agency.

The General Director of Nova Sloga, Goran Petković, stated that Frikom is the right partner for them and reiterated that the total investments over five years amount to 10 million euros. He added that investments will also be made in the introduction of new equipment at the Mivela water factory, which is also owned by Nova Sloga, as well as in the Cold Storage. Petković mentioned that Croatian Agrokor, which owns Frikom, is also the owner of Jamnica water and expects that Mivela, utilizing their experience and distribution channels, will become the fourth or fifth water brand in Serbia by the tenth. Nova Sloga is the exclusive user of the rights to exploit water in the Mivela field near Veluće, eight kilometers from Trstenik.

Petković also stated that Frikom’s social program is based on employing all workers, and that only those who wish to leave will do so. Nova Sloga currently has 140 employees across six facilities. The frozen food industry Frikom recently became the owner of Nova Sloga, which also operates the Mivela water factory. Nova Sloga is also engaged in the storage and processing of agricultural products, and has a wine cellar with a distillery and beverage bottling plant with a capacity of 7,000 tons, a drying facility, and a factory for spices, teas, and grain products, reports Beta.
