After 50 years on the British throne, Queen Elizabeth II will purchase a family aircraft for seven million pounds (approximately 62 million kuna), the newspaper “The Sun” reported on Saturday.
The Queen is expected to choose the interior design of the aircraft around Christmas, which will have 13 seats and will be used exclusively for transporting the royal family. According to “The Sun”, the Queen is particularly interested in where her five Welsh corgis will sit.
The royal family has mostly rented aircraft for transportation until now. Last year, this cost British taxpayers 5.5 million pounds.(H)
