Privredna banka Zagreb (PBZ) and the airline company Croatia Airlines (CA) today presented a new joint service for the payment and issuance of electronic airline tickets for Croatia Airlines through the PBZ ATM network.
The new service is a continuation of the development within CA’s e-commerce project, allowing passengers to make reservations through the CA Reservation Service and telephone ticket sales or at one of the company’s branches. If a passenger does not decide to purchase the ticket immediately during the reservation, they will receive a standard six-digit reservation code (PNR) along with an additional numerical code from the agent, which they can use to pay for the reservation at PBZ ATMs. After payment, an electronic airline ticket will be automatically issued to the passenger, it was stated. Airline tickets can be paid for at the ATM network using PBZ cards: American Express, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, and Visa Electron, and the service is available at nearly 400 ATMs across the country, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Tomislav Lazarić, Deputy CEO of PBZ, emphasized that this project represents a strategic partnership and innovation between two domestic companies, and they are the first in Europe to provide such a service. Ivan Mišetić, CEO of Croatia Airlines, highlighted the importance of this project, stating that it is a result of domestic ingenuity. CA aims to simplify the distribution channel in the future with this project, and the introduction of modern technologies will certainly enhance the company’s operations, he said. Mišetić noted that seven tickets have been purchased so far, and the first ticket at an ATM was purchased in Slavonski Brod on September 17. (H)
