The Deputy CEO of Podravka, Miroslav Vitković, today handed over a new car – a Škoda Octavia van – to Paralympian Miroslav Matić.
With this action, Podravka has become one of the first companies to donate a car to a Paralympian. A vehicle fully adapted to the needs of the 100% disabled individual from Rijeka was gifted, and Podravka has once again demonstrated its full social responsibility.
Croatian Paralympian Miroslav Matić won eighth place in the javelin throw and tenth place in the discus throw at the Paralympic Games in Beijing.
– We are glad that we recognized a real need in this case and were able to help. This is an exceptionally brave person who strives to achieve good results, and we recognize that because we are a company with heart. Our responsibility to all stakeholders is the foundation of our work – said Deputy CEO Miroslav Vitković.
– I am immeasurably happy because from now on I have the opportunity to be completely independent of others and to go to training alone in a new and safe vehicle. Podravka truly has a big heart, and I will strive for my future sports results to also be great. The new vehicle will greatly facilitate my dignified life. – noted Miroslav Matić, visibly impressed.
