Virtual Financial Adventure

Volksbank presents a new knowledge game on September 25 that requires participants not only luck but also some financial skill and a willingness to take risks.

This is an online game that simulates trading in stocks, stock indices, and shares in investment funds on the largest stock exchanges in the world, such as those in New York or Frankfurt, as well as certain stocks listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange and the Crobex index, along with shares in some domestic investment funds, based on actual trading data from the aforementioned exchanges. The actual trading data on the mentioned markets in the Game is used with a time delay of at least fifteen minutes.

The main task, or goal of this game is to achieve the highest profit in trading the offered stocks, stock indices, and shares in investment funds, that is, to achieve the highest increase in portfolio value. All competitors have equal rights and opportunities in achieving a position on the leaderboard. Based on the achieved profit and increase in portfolio value, as well as the success, knowledge, and skills of competitors in the virtual stock exchange environment, leaderboards are formed and prizes are awarded accordingly. Along with stock market education and virtual entertainment, the winner can expect a prize trip to the global financial center – New York, according to the bank’s statement.

The virtual adventure VBurza begins on September 29 of this year and ends on January 30, 2009. Applications for competitors are open until December 31, 2008. The competitive online knowledge game VBurza can be found at the Internet address http//www.volksbank.hr where applications for the game are also conducted.
