The Chief State Attorney Mladen Bajić confirmed to reporters today that the operations of the company Industrogradnja are being investigated, whose CEO Josip Galinec was beaten yesterday in Zagreb.
Bajić stated this at an extraordinary press conference regarding the anti-corruption action at universities called "Index", but asserted that he cannot speak about who reported what or whether the attacked 36-year-old Galinec reported any possible threats. Police Director Marijan Benko claims that the "Index" action has not diminished the intensity of clarifying the case of the beating in Zagreb, the third in the last three months. The entrepreneur, who became known to the business public at the end of the last decade, was beaten yesterday in a parking lot in broad daylight by two unknown young men with a metal rod. The Zagreb police have classified this case as an attempted murder. The motive for the attack is also unknown.
