The preparation of the tender documentation for the sale of 50 percent plus one share of Đuro Đaković Montaža is in its final phase, and we expect the tender for sale to be announced next week, emphasized the CEO of Đuro Đaković Holding, Zdravko Stipetić, at today’s press conference held at the Autumn International Zagreb Fair.
He stated that he expects the sale of Montaža to be completed in the next three to four months. When asked why they did not decide to sell Montaža on the Stock Exchange, Stipetić said that in that case, nothing could be conditioned, and it would not be possible to control who would enter the ownership structure. He expressed hope that the tender would satisfy all interested parties and ensure a buyer from a similar industry.
He explained that the tender will require, among other things, the retention of all Montaža employees (just over 1,300), the retention of the company’s activities in the next few years, and a five-year investment plan for the company. Regarding the price, Stipetić stated that the condition is that it should not be lower than 500 kuna per share.
“If we are not satisfied, it is not necessary to proceed with the sale,” said Stipetić. When asked if he knew who might respond to the tender, he said that along with several domestic “players,” there would certainly be an offer from the Austrian company Bilfinger Berger, which already holds more than 20 percent of Montaža shares. The company Đuro Đaković Montaža generates 50 percent of the Holding’s revenue and has the same number of employees, and in the first six months of this year, it achieved total revenues of 188.1 million kuna and a profit of 2.6 million kuna after taxation.
