Two-thirds of Sladorana Workers Signed Loan Agreement with Viro

The loan agreement under which Viro will lend the workers of the Županja Sladorana all funds for the purchase of shares from the Croatian Privatization Fund has so far been signed by two-thirds of the Sladorana workers who have the right to purchase shares, reported the Virovitica company to the Zagreb Stock Exchange today.

With the loan agreement, Viro also guarantees a buyback price of shares at 160 kuna per share after the expiration of the three-year ban on the disposal of shares."I am extremely happy that the majority of Sladorana workers have placed their trust in the Viro sugar factory. This proves that the workers, or future shareholders of Sladorana, have recognized Viro as a better strategic partner that can ensure a safe and stable future for their factory, and for them as shareholders, an increase in the value of their shares", said Željko Zadro, CEO of Viro, in the statement. Otherwise, for the purchase of 38.115 percent of Sladorana shares from the portfolio of the Croatian Privatization Fund, Viro is competing with the Osijek company Kandit Premijer d.o.o.
