Panic on the domestic capital market continues today. The stock index is down by 2.51 percent with a very high turnover of 58 million kuna in just two hours of trading. HT is currently trading at 263 kuna, two kuna less than the price of this stock at the IPO.
The Mlinar stock, which is expected to have a public offering, is the only one maintaining a stable price. The unprecedented bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, linked to several financial institutions in the strongest economy in the world that have encountered problems, has also impacted the domestic market. It is difficult to say who is recording the biggest loss today, as there is a total sell-off on the stock exchange. The most likely scenario is that small investors, worried about bad news, are pulling their funds from the funds, which must panic sell to pay out investors.
The highest turnover, 15.8 million kuna, is held by Ina, which is still maintaining a price about fifteen kuna higher than that offered by Mol. Atlantska plovidba has collected 8.8 million kuna and is currently around the psychological barrier of 2,000 kuna (-2.23 percent). HT’s stock achieved a turnover of five million kuna and fell to 263 kuna, thus crossing below the price at which it was sold in the IPO for the first time. Cumulatively, the biggest losses are recorded by construction companies: Ingra is down by 5.62 percent (2.7 million kuna turnover), IGH by 5.16 percent (2.2 million kuna turnover), and Dalekovod by 3.57 percent (1.9 million kuna turnover).
