Organized by SAP d.o.o., the two-day international conference ‘SAP World Tour ’08’ began today in Zagreb, which, with nearly a thousand domestic and foreign participants, ranks among the largest business gatherings of IT professionals not only in Croatia but also in the region.
Every year, SAP organizes a similar conference in 60 cities around the world, and in Zagreb, it is held at the Hypo Expo Center. The conference’s opening today, or its first so-called technology day (SAP Tech Day), was marked by lectures from domestic and foreign experts on developed SAP technologies and innovations and trends that can contribute to better business operations amid rapid market changes. As part of this, SAP’s ‘Strategy Management’ solution was presented for the first time in Croatia.
The conference continues tomorrow (September 11), when, as part of the so-called business day (SAP Business Day), there will be more discussions about business and solutions that enable increased profitability and accelerated return on investment. Representatives of the Croatian branch of SAP will provide an overview of previous SAP plans and announce future work directions, as well as award the traditional annual journalism awards ‘Božo Težak’ for the best journalistic works in the field of information technology and communications.
