Ina at 2,880 kuna, a sign for investors that the company is worth more than Mol’s offer

Despite the fact that HUP Zagreb is the most liquid stock, the rise in Ina’s stock far above the price offered by Mol is the most interesting news on the stock exchange. In addition to Ina, Podravka also records a significant increase.

The news about the rise in Ina’s stock is more interesting when we recall the meager trading volumes from last week, when this stock was traded at amounts less than five million kuna. Crobex is up 0.4 percent today, closing at 3,466 points. The total turnover on the official market amounted to a relatively good 56 million kuna, with HUP Zagreb being the most liquid stock.

With a turnover of 10.9 million kuna, this stock recorded a price drop of 3.64 percent compared to the previous week. With a turnover of 7.1 million kuna, Ina holds second place on the list of the most liquid stocks with an increase of 1.63 percent, closing at 2,880 kuna. With this price, which is increasingly distancing itself from the one offered by Mol in the public offer, investors are sending a clear signal that they believe Ina is worth much more.

Podravka collected 5.8 million kuna in turnover, and its price rose by 2.03 percent today. As the pension fund PBZ CO announced after the end of each trading day that it had added several more shares to its portfolio, it is likely that this will also be the case today. The stock of Hrvatski Telekom had a turnover just a hundred thousand kuna lower, which today records a price drop of 0.23 percent.

Despite poor conditions in the shipping sector, Atlantska plovidba records a price increase of 0.81 percent (5 million kuna in turnover) compared to Friday. In contrast, the stock of Uljanik plovidba has sunk by 1.81 percent today.
Stocks of Žitnjak and Mlinar have stabilized around the prices offered by Agrokor in the public offer, and therefore Žitnjak had a turnover of 1.2 million kuna, while Mlinar had only nine hundred thousand kuna.

The U.S. government has decided to financially intervene in the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which has started to positively affect, first Asian and European, and then American indices since the morning. The only market that did not significantly react to this news is Zagreb, which is still only watching Ina.   (Amir Kulenović)
