The current economic cooperation between Croatia and Montenegro is satisfactory, but it can be much better and more intense, assessed on Monday by Petar Turčinović, the Croatian ambassador in Podgorica, and Velimir Mijušković, the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro.
Turčinović announced new Croatian investments in Montenegro, while Mijušković mentioned the opening of a representative office of the Montenegrin Chamber of Commerce as well as the participation of Montenegrin entrepreneurs at the Zagreb Fair from September 14 to 21.
"Croatia is particularly interested in the production of healthy food, teas, and šumskog voća, and in this area, it can expand economic cooperation with Montenegro," said Turčinović.
The Croatian ambassador recommended Montenegrin entrepreneurs to connect with Varaždin County, which has been the most successful in utilizing pre-accession funds (IPA) for agricultural development. (H)
