The company “Rockwool Adriatic” announced today that the continuous emission measurement system for pollutants is fully operational, thereby meeting all conditions for the continuation of trial production expected today.
In the statement, "Rockwool" notes that senior environmental inspector Marijana Božičević visited the factory yesterday and confirmed that the conditions for the continuation of trial production have been met. Public relations manager of "Rockwool" Nina Šuljak confirmed that this also means that the continuous emission measurement system is now compliant with Croatian regulations. A reliable continuous emission measurement system has been established, meaning all devices are calibrated, and preparations for the continuation of trial production began this morning, with the trial production itself expected to commence around midnight, according to the statement.
It adds that all previous measurements by authorized companies have shown that emissions are in accordance with the Regulation on the Limit Values of Emissions of Pollutants into the Air from Stationary Sources. "We are aware that openness and cooperation with the local community are essential, and in agreement with the inspection, we have established a system for informing authorized bodies and the public about any significant information related to the trial operation, during which there may occasionally be malfunctions or brief interruptions that could result in safety emissions through the emergency chimney or bypass," concludes the statement from "Rockwool Adriatic". It emphasizes that the company will "continue to optimize for constant improvement of the production process and efficiency" and that no problems are expected during the restart of trial production.
