The Adris Foundation, the largest corporate foundation in the Southeast region, reported that the first competition for the allocation of 15 million kuna, which started on October 12, has been completed, receiving more than a hundred applications for funding projects in culture, science, ecology, and the social sector.
All submitted applications will have to undergo evaluation by the Foundation Councils and Management, whose members, along with the president Dr. Jadranko Crnić, include university professor Prof. Dr. Zvonimir Mareković, distinguished historian – Prof. Dr. Miroslav Bertoša; long-time journalist and editor of HTV – Branimir Bilić; leading Croatian ophthalmologist – Prof. Dr. Nikica Gabrić; the bishop of Poreč-Pula Msgr. Ivan Milovan; renowned Croatian geneticist – Prof. Dr. Miroslav Radman, distinguished Croatian physician – Nela Sršen, and the director of Matica hrvatska – Igor Zidić.
The Adris Foundation did not wish to disclose the date of the announcement of the competition results, adding that it will do so as soon as possible, after the completion of the procedure prescribed by the Foundation’s Statute. In selecting the projects to be funded by the Foundation, the quality of the project proposal, its originality, the project’s contribution to the overall development of society, and the strategic importance of the project proposal and its ability to enhance the program area will be evaluated. The Adris Foundation was established in July of this year, and the support programs through which the Foundation operates are: Knowledge and Innovation, Creativity, Ecology and Heritage, and Goodness.
