The HTZ council unanimously elected Niko Bulić as the director of the main office of HTZ during the Days of Croatian Tourism, granting Bulić his third consecutive four-year term.
Supporting this is the fact that only one candidate, Niko Bulić, applied for the public competition announced in September. Council members expressed satisfaction with this year’s seasonal results and based on these results made projections for the 2008 season. The set goals are an increase in tourist arrivals by three percent and overnight stays by two percent. According to estimates that Croatian tourism will finish the 2007 season with total tourism revenues at a growth level of 10 percent (6.92 billion euros) and considering the projected traffic growth and an average expected price increase of three percent, HTZ forecasts a financial income in 2008 that is five percent higher (7.27 billion euros).
