Today, a meeting is expected to take place between government representatives, the Orco group, and the mayor of Hvar, Pjerin Bebić, regarding the City of Hvar’s stake in the company Sunny Hvar. Deputy Prime Minister Damir Polančec did not provide any indications in his official response on how the dispute arising from the Agreement between the Government and the Orco group will be resolved.
According to the agreement, the City of Hvar is to receive 25 plus one share in Sunny Hvar. The settlement between the City of Hvar and Sunny Hvar would conclude all property law disputes between the City and the company. Due to the non-fulfillment of the City of Hvar’s conditions, the transfer of shares is still not possible. Deputy Prime Minister Polančec did not respond on how he will ensure that after the parliamentary elections and after Orco completes the third recapitalization of the company, the City retains 25 percent of the shares, it was reported in the morning news of HRT.
