The State Attorney’s Office has confirmed to HTV the speculation that due to Krašograd, the police and USKOK are conducting a criminal investigation against responsible individuals in the City of Zagreb’s Administration. The closest associates of Mayor Milan Bandić are under investigation.
The Office for the Suppression of Corruption and Organized Crime received a submission a month ago warning that two companies owned by students exchanged land in the area of Sesvetski Kraljevac for land located next to the Kraš factory in Maksimir. Following this lead, the State Attorney’s Office initiated investigative actions, and the police are conducting a criminal investigation. They did not want to disclose which official from the Zagreb City Administration is being investigated, but they reject media reports claiming that the Zagreb mayor and his associates are being wiretapped and that they have never heard of the case “orchestra” outside of the media. The State Attorney’s Office dismisses insinuations that investigations are initiated opportunistically during the pre-election period to harm certain parties or politicians, as stated in the central Dnevnik of HTV.
