At The Hub in London, a gathering place for creatives and activists, a discussion was held with about twenty journalists from Eastern European countries on the topic of reporting on socially responsible business.
Five panelists, mostly reporters and journalists, introduced the attendees to trends in CSR. They concluded that it is time for journalists to start questioning companies that call their operations responsible and investigate how their actions impact the community. Organized by UNDP, journalists visited exemplary British companies such as Whole Foods, the ‘green’ supermarket Cafedirect, a supplier of organic and fair trade coffee, and Happy-IT, a company recognized as the best British employer.
