The telecommunications company Portus d.o.o., which owns the fixed network H1, has completed its transformation into a joint-stock company named H1 Telekom d.d. for telecommunications services.
The transformation of Portus into the joint-stock company H1 Telekom was executed on October 15, 2007, by a decision of the Commercial Court in Split. The position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of H1 Telekom has been taken over by the former CEO of Portus, Zoran Ćurković, while the other members are Petar Čavlović and Rajko Pfaff. The new CEO of H1 Telekom is Kristian Uwe Ćurković. The transformation of the company from a limited liability company to a joint-stock company is in line with the strategic business plans of the company, which enable H1 Telekom to further strengthen its market position.
Supporting this is the fact that H1 Telekom ended September 2007 as operationally profitable. H1 Telekom currently has more than 75,000 users across Croatia and more than 1,000 requests for ADSL service in Split. The ADSL service that H1 Telekom offers in collaboration with its technology partner Samsung will soon be available in other major Croatian cities. By the end of the year, H1 Telekom expects to have more than 85,000 users and announces the introduction of new services and an increase in the number of employees.
