The fifth Microsoft conference for computer and network security experts gathered 390 participants at its opening in the Hypo Expo XXI center. The conference was opened on behalf of the organizer, Microsoft Croatia, by its senior technology advisor Vjeran Bušelić.
Bušelić emphasized in his speech that the goal of the conference is to transfer knowledge and experiences from global and local experts to the participants, and that it is a continuation of Microsoft’s initiative Reliable Computing, aimed at creating a safer IT future. The first day of the conference was marked by a presentation from Steve Riley from Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond. Very lively as a speaker, Riley reflects on the importance of effective data protection in two presentations. His lecture titled ‘Do You Know Where Your Data Is?’ is currently underway.
Tomorrow’s day of the conference will feature a round table with participants from reputable companies, such as INA, where the recently adopted Croatian legislation regulating the area of computer security will be discussed. (Igor Škevin)
